Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment

Cscale is dedicated to respecting and protecting your privacy. We prioritize the confidentiality and security of your personal information. As a globally operated platform, Cscale adheres to international data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant legislation worldwide.

This policy outlines our approach to data protection, extending privacy rights to all our users, regardless of their location.

2. Collection, Processing, and Storage of Data

Cscale collects and processes personal data from users through direct input and automated methods, such as cookies and system logs. Data processing includes collecting, recording, storing, altering, disclosing, destroying, and blocking information.

This policy covers our data handling practices and does not apply to third-party organizations integrated with Cscale.

3. Personally Identifying Information (PII)

To register on Cscale, you may need to provide PII such as your email address. Additional information may be required for purchases and certifications. You have the option to create a detailed profile, including educational background and career ambitions, which you can choose to share publicly.

Personal data is stored securely within your user account, accessible only through encrypted networks and with restricted permissions. Public postings and shared content, such as blog comments and course reviews, are collected and stored by Cscale and may be publicly available.

4. Course Information

After registration, users can enroll in courses offered by Cscale or affiliated publishers. Aggregated demographic data is shared with publishers but does not allow access to individual user information. Cscale processes data to ensure accurate user records and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Third-Party Information Processors and Service Providers

Cscale stores personal data securely on third-party cloud-based storage. Payment processing and fulfillment partners receive necessary PII for transactions, but highly sensitive data like credit card information is never handled directly by Cscale. We use analytical tools and advertising services managed by third parties to understand user behavior and support free learning through advertising.

6. Technical Data Collection

Cscale collects web server log files, device information, and IP addresses to monitor platform usage. Cookies and web beacons help personalize the user experience and track unique sessions.

7. User Consent and Self-Service Control

By using Cscale, you consent to the collection and use of your data. You can access, modify, and delete your personal information through your user account. Browser and device settings allow you to control cookies and other tracking technologies.

8. Retention of Data

Cscale is legally required to retain certain data for specified periods. Anonymized user data is kept for business purposes after account deletion. Data retention is aligned with our legal obligations and business interests.

9. Security and Disclosure of Data

We implement robust security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access. While no system is completely immune to breaches, we continuously review and update our security protocols. Employees are trained to handle data responsibly, and any breaches are taken seriously and addressed promptly.

10. Data Protection Officers

Our Data Protection Officers (DPOs) are responsible for monitoring compliance with data protection laws. For any privacy-related concerns, please contact our DPO at dpo@cscale.com.

11. Access Requests

Users have the right to request access to their personal data and seek updates or deletions. Cscale provides tools for users to manage their data. For comprehensive data requests, contact our customer service.

12. Right to Object

Users can object to data processing that causes distress or seek corrections to inaccurate data. Cscale will address justified objections and make efforts to alleviate any harm caused.

13. International Transmission of Data

Cscale may transfer personal data across borders to support global operations. We ensure that transferred data receives the same level of protection as required by law and only share data with entities that guarantee equivalent protection.

14. Policy Review and Modification

Cscale periodically reviews and updates this policy to reflect changes in the law and operational practices. Material updates will be communicated to users via email. Continued use of Cscale services indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
